Created back in October 20, 2017, I made one of the earliest Ethereum digital paintings / illustrations, making it a piece of history and a valuable NFT collectible. To give you more context, this painting was created about 4 months after the release of CryptoPunks (June 2017). Although Ether in the Sky was made in 2017, it was not minted until 2021.
What makes this NFT artwork valuable is that there is a recorded process video available on Youtube (posted on October 20, 2017). To my knowledge, this video stands as the first record of any Ethereum digital artwork being created. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Even though this painting was minted in 2021, this process video (along with several posts) serves as proof of work and validates the date of creation (Oct. 20, 2017) which really adds significant value to this NFT.
Furthermore a Google image search of the following terms: “Ethereum Art / Artwork/ Painting / Digital Art, etc.” shows ‘Ether in the Sky’ in the top results). I think this may be the case because this painting has a lot of history and it has also been used by a handful of sites and articles.
I tried my best to google search for Ethereum digital paintings before 2017. Based on the results I did find some photoshopped ethereum artworks that predated “Ether in the Sky”; however, none of them were paintings. They were simply photoshop, cut and paste style edits. I won’t sit here and say that my Ethereum digital painting is the first because I am sure there are a select few somewhere out there that predate mine. I have yet to find them. But what I can confidently say is that “Ether in the Sky” is among one of the first Ethereum digital paintings. And it may be the first from that time period to be minted (I will have to do further research to validate that statement).
There are a total of 200 “Ether in the Sky” NFTs. At moment of writing this, 132 are still available. These were originally selling for 0.9 eth but today I reduced the price by 33%, making the price of each copy 0.6 eth. Also for the record I have handed out about 15-20 free copies and I am holding on to 31 copies which I will sell later down the line.
